A successful teeth cleaning!

Yesterday, Buzz was healthy enough to undergo anesthesia and had his teeth cleaned (yay!). He had two teeth extracted and has some pretty bad enamel damage, probably due to poor nutrition as a pup, but he is doing great. He's on pain killers and antibiotics, but it hasn't slowed him down one bit.

He did, however, have a low blood sugar reading right before anesthesia. 30. 30! Luckily, he already had an IV/catheter in for fluids, so they were able to control it right away and continue with the cleaning.

And the best part? No more stinky breath. Well, until he eats his own poop, that is. We're going to work hard to break him of that! :)

That little gnarly tooth on the bottom right is now MIA! :)

  1. Yay! Funny you posted this...I actually just scheduled Riley for a teeth cleaning next Wednesday. She's never had one done and she has some build up on her back teeth, so I figured it was time. Glad his cleaning went well!

  6. SUNSHINE Coast kennels Partnership is giving Schoolies an opportunity to relax and be entertained in an alcohol- and drug-free environment at Raw Sounds.
The majority of people involved in the greyhound and racing industry love their animals and I think linking a thriving industry to the depraved act of dog and
cock fighting is drawing a long bow.

  11. I dont think sacrificial sacrifice of the employee does much to help.
He was probably scared stiff to talk to the family if he was a compassionate young animal lover.
Of course, I dont know that that is the case but I do know that working with animals is not predictable and they are wriggly,
escape prone beings. Its an accident, it can't be helped
